About Cary Senior Tech Ed

Cary Senior Tech Ed's mission is to provide older adults education for, and access to computer and internet technologies to enhance their lives and enable them to share their knowledge and wisdom.

Nowadays, almost all of us need to check a Web Site or send an Email. Our objective is to help you learn how to use computers and other personal devices in your everyday life no matter your age.

Our classes are given year-round during the day from Monday to Friday in two rooms at Cary Senior Center:

  • Computer Lab: for twelve or fewer students per class with hands-on learning.
  • Room 302: for up to thirty students in a lecture format.

We provide:

  • hands-on classes and seminars with your peers and taught by your peers,
  • one instructor and two coaches per class, and
  • up-to-date computers and technology for learning and practice.

Our Volunteers and How to Become One

The Cary Senior Tech Ed program is staffed entirely by Senior (50+) Volunteers. Most volunteers serve as instructors and/or coaches. Others also provide planning, technical and administrative support services.

Cary Senior Tech Ed needs more volunteers, especially instructors and coaches. If you would like to discuss volunteer opportunities please use our Contact Form to tell us more about yourself.
